Close the article's browser tab, then select the tab named Orbit CME. Your dashboard stays open the whole time.

When you click the article link under Step 1 on your Orbit dashboard, the article opens in a new browser tab.

On desktop

  1. Look at the row of tabs at the top of your browser window. Each tab shows a page title.

  2. Find the article tab. It shows the article title or journal name, such as A comparison of.... Your dashboard tab is named Orbit CME.

  3. Click the X on the article tab:

Safari: Hover over the tab. The X appears on the left side.

Chrome: The X is always on the right side of the tab.

  4. If you didn't switch tabs while reading, you return to your dashboard automatically. Otherwise, click the Orbit CME tab.

Close only the tab, not the browser window. Avoid the X at the very top-left corner (Mac Safari) or very top-right corner (Windows or Linux).

On mobile

  1. Tap the tabs icon to see all your open tabs:

iOS Safari: Overlapping squares on the right side of the bottom bar.

Chrome: A square with a number inside, on the right side of the top bar.

  1. Find the article tab using its preview and title. The title is the article title or the journal name.

  2. Tap the X, usually in the upper right of the tab.

  3. Tap the Orbit CME tab to return to your dashboard.

Tabs vs. windows

A tab is a separate page inside your browser, like a folder tab. Click or tap a tab to switch pages without closing the others.

A window holds all your tabs. Using tabs keeps your screen from filling up with separate windows.
