Your last 10 QI Points come from the QI Points Bonus (ABA Part 4), an ABA-accepted QI activity in your Orbit Dashboard. It's separate from the up to 15 QI Points you can earn from eligible point-of-care learning. Together, they cover the 25 QI Points the ABA requires every 5 years. Before you start
You need an active, eligible Orbit Anesthesiology plan with available credits. Log in to your Orbit Dashboard and check that the cycle dates shown for your Anesthesiology Board Certification license are correct. If they look wrong, update your license renewal date before you add credits.
Open your bonus goal
On your Dashboard, select Anesthesiology Board Certification, then select the QI Points Bonus (ABA Part 4) goal.
Complete your goals
Complete all applicable non-bonus goals for your active cycle: Anesthesiology, Patient Safety, and QI Points.
At least one article you redeemed through Orbit's current activity must count toward those goals. Imported credits alone don't unlock the bonus.
To earn in Orbit, start with a question from your practice, then search for and read an eligible full-text article. Complete the evaluation and redeem with the tag that matches your goal, including QI Points (ABA) where appropriate. Abstracts alone don't earn credit.
Fill gaps with credits from other providers
You can import credits you earned elsewhere. For each import, enter the date you actually earned it, the correct credit type and topic, and a date within the cycle shown on your goal.
Count each credit once. If you import an aggregate certificate, don't also import the individual credits it covers.
When the bonus appears
When you're eligible, the bonus appears on your Dashboard automatically. If you've already earned it, it isn't awarded again.
Sending your points to the ABA
Turn on ABA AutoSend and enter a valid ABA number in your Dashboard. Eligible credits you earn in Orbit and your bonus send to the ABA on Orbit's weekly schedule. Credits you import from other providers aren't sent automatically.
Holiday weeks can delay sending. The ABA counts credits by when you earned them, not when they're sent.
