How do I respond to an NCCPA audit?

Use your Orbit CME audit report and specialty certificate as audit documentation.

Written by Faith

Generate your audit report and specialty certificate in Orbit CME, then download, print, or share them with the NCCPA.

How NCCPA audits work

Near the end of each two-year certification period, you attest to the NCCPA that you completed 50 credits over those two years. You only need to send certificates if you're audited.

The NCCPA has told Orbit that it never audits Category 2 credits, which are essentially self-study credit. Category 1 credits are audited.

Prepare your documentation

  1. Check your dashboard to confirm you've completed all 50 required credits.

Make sure the report covers the correct date range.

  1. Download or print your certificates and audit report. To send them electronically, see How do I share my CME documentation?
