What are the ABR requirements for CME at the March 1st MOC attestation?

Understand deadline-specific radiology board continuing certification documentation needs.

Maintain Continuous Certification (MOC)

The ABR’s MOC process, known as “Continuous Certification,” ensures that your certificate remains valid only when you meet ongoing MOC requirements. On your ABR certificate, instead of an expiration date, it will show your initial certification date along with the note that “ongoing validity of this certificate is contingent upon meeting the requirements of Maintenance of Certification.”

Your progress gets reviewed every March using a three-year rolling window, and you must confirm that you've met all MOC requirements by March 1 each year.

Earn 75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ over the past three years

You need to earn 75 Category 1 CME credits in any topic looking back 3 years from the date of the audit, with the earliest audit occurring no earlier than the fourth year of Continuing Certification.

The technically correct way to count this is to add all Category 1 CME that you completed between March 1 of the current year and January 1 of three years ago. For example, between January 1, 2022, and March 1, 2025.

However, if you've completed 75 credits between March 1 of the current year and March 1 of three years prior, you'll have satisfied the ABR requirement. The Dashboard view in Orbit makes it easy to tally your credit over the past three years.
